Calvary, the place where our Lord gave His life to save anyone willing to follow Him, was a place of brokenness. In much the same way our church is a place of brokenness. We are a broken people, we come from broken marriages, broken past, and broken spirits. And the place that was once a place of pain and torment is now celebrated for the life and healing that it gives through Jesus’ sacrifice.

In 1987, God placed it on the heart of Bob Berry to start a fundamental Bible believing church in Crewe, VA. Shortly after its inception, Calvary received its first Pastor, Willie Justice. In His leadership the church purchased the building and land the church currently resides at 814 E. Virginia Ave. what was then a car dealership now stood as a beacon of light called Calvary Church.

Through the years Calvary has ever only had one mission and one goal. That is the same goal as Christ’s Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” After Pastor Justice, 11 men of God took up the mantle of Pastor as well as many interim pastors and youth pastor’s. in every transition God has placed the man needed for that time to shape and lead this church closer to Christ and for the furtherance of His kingdom. As we respect and remember our past, God continues to point us to our future. We as Calvary church wish to know God personally so we may share His love personally. It is our focus never to neglect His flock nor overlook His mission. As a church we “provoke one another unto love and good works” and to love God and our neighbors more than ourselves. We encourage you to be apart of our future and in turn a part of our heritage.
